Attorneys Sungho Jeong and Hyejin Song from ELPS delivered a presentation at the “2024 Early-Career Scholars Conference of the Korean Environmental Law Association” held at Seoul National University School of Law. The presentation focused on the topic of “Practical Issues in the Legal Status and Management of Household Waste”.

They highlighted that the growing number of businesses involved in managing household waste has led to new challenges in interpreting regulations under the Waste Management Act, and emphasized the need to resolve these issues through references to legislative intent, legal history, and case precedents, while stressing that detailed revisions to the Waste Management Act are ultimately essential for more efficient and proper waste management.
